I've been experiencing many of the same blows to my self confidence. I started searching in June 2008 and thought I'd get a job within a couple months. Six months later I felt very humbled. At this point, I'm starting to think I did something wrong! Maybe I should have focused on being a newspaper reporter and writer who also dabbled in Multimedia, instead of the other way around. I'm not sure anyone has the budget for a multimedia specialist right now. Instead, they want generalists who can do it all. I like the idea of doing that myself, so I need to re-brand myself somehow.

Oh my God, that is probably the most pitiful thing I've ever witnessed.

And thanks, the song is stuck in my head, and will probably be there for days. I'll end up embarrassing myself by unwittingly singing it somewhere.

Such colors don't exist here in Texas. And, if they do, then its during that rare freak 24 hrs before it all turns brown and falls off. You know the time period - we live in summer, aka green, and then we live in winter, aka brown. There are no temperature changes! Sometimes I think we have two seasons here, brown and green. Green is what we call fall and spring, brown summer and winter!

I'm with you on this one amy. A bit hooky if you ask me. Sounds a bit too much like something one of these pop magazines might print: "10 best ways to be spiritual, or 10 ways to meet God." Its turning to and responding too much to the modern culture. Then again, one might look at from the standpoint that this has been issued from a minor congregation, which, if you ask me, is grabbing for more prominence. However, looking past the hooky-ness it does have complete merit for our lives. I personally like number 2, but I am a philosopher...go figure.

Also amy you might want to look at the Austin American Statesmen's webpage and look for a Priest DWI report. Happened around the same time this Vatican annoucement came. Bad bad timing for Aymond.

on a selfish level, my favorite is number 3, because it is definitely true to my life. there have been one or two clear occasions in my experience where i failed to drive courteously and uprightly, and had to eat defensive driving shit as a result.

but, along those lines, number 5 is definitely the most spiritually pertinent one in think for these days.
