Given a task (especially a fun one), I will complete.

December 3, 2008

Recently I came upon a fun game to play. It reminds me of my favorite assignment in a design class I took in college, where we had to redesign an album cover. Instructions:

  • Step One: Go to Wikipedia and click on Random Article. This is your band name.
  • Step Two: Go To Flickr and on the “Last 7 Days” section, choose the third picture. This is your album cover.
  • Step Three: Go to Wikiquote and click on Random Page. Go to the last quote and copy the last few words in the sentence. This is your album name.
  • Step Four: Assemble and post.

Here’s my creation.

Update: Here’s another. I couldn’t help myself.

My new toy

September 25, 2007

Bought a Kodak C613 digital camera today. It’s pretty.

I had a Sony camera but it finally went kaput on me last night. Plus my mother is coming to visit me this weekend and I need to make sure I can capture our memories! ;)

Speaking of this weekend, we’ll be spending it in exciting Stillwater, Minn. I’ve never been but have heard many great things about it, and it sounds like something my mother would love.

Especially with the fall foliage coming around.

Fresh and new.

I just updated my online portfolio, at amylavergne.com.

It has a bit of new content (the last time I had updated it was before I got my current job) and new menu bars and stuff. Yes, I took those photos myself on my refrigerator with my poetry magnets. It was hard finding good words to use for my menu.

Enjoy! Suggestions are always welcome.

iPhone. I want one.

Look how pretty it is.

iPhone

And now, look at this:

iPhone Delivers Up to Eight Hours of Talk Time

“Apple® today announced that iPhone™ will deliver significantly longer battery life when it ships on June 29 than was originally estimated when iPhone was unveiled in January. iPhone will feature up to 8 hours of talk time, 6 hours of Internet use, 7 hours of video playback or 24 hours of audio playback.”

I can just imagine myself sitting on the bus on the way to work, looking as high-tech and richy-rich as any person using public transporation could, on their way to get off on 7th St. in downtown Minneapolis.

The commercials for this fancy doohicky also show that iPhone will be used with AT&T, which just happens to be the wireless provider I already use. It must be fate!

This will be MINE.

I’ll just have to wait a year when it’s not $499 anymore.

Sigh.
