I’ve been back in Texas since late January and have been searching for a job ever since. I believe I have pretty diverse skills that include writing, publishing, editing, and general good people skills–and yet here I am, more than six months later, and I still don’t have a job. So many tell me that it’s a simple reflection of the economic environment but for some reason I have a hard time believing it. I am a confident person, and believe I should have something by now.
It’s tough because I long for independence. And I know that whoever does end up hiring me will have a kick-ass employee on their team, because I am so ready to work hard and earn a living again.
